We have been learning how to write an explanation. We used a potato peeler and then used that experience to write an explanation on how a potato peeler works.
How do peelers work?
First you
hold the carrot. Then you peel. Peelers peel skin off carrots. A peeler is made
of many parts called wedge, lever and blades. I like peelers because they are
sharp.

They have sharp blades and a plastic
handle. It has a wedge on top of it. It helps us to peel a potato. We need to
push the peeler to make it work. Some of the skin comes out. We are learning
how to use a potato peeler. We scrap yucky bit because we don’t want to eat the
yucky bit. By Ranya
We use potato peelers to peel apples,
carrots and potato. When it is your
first time you might scrap yourself. It looks like it is very sharp. The parts
on the potato peeler are the wedges and the blade. How it works is you need to
push it but not too hard. Then you push it towards your thumb. Potato peelers
are a machine. By Georgie

apple skin off. A potato peeler looks long and sharp and pointy. They have a
blade to help you peel. Hold the potato, then scrape towards you. Peelers are
handy because they can peel fruit and vegetables skin off. By Macky
